Business Software

This is the software that runs your business behind the scenes — the admin panel, the internal tool, the automation that kills the copy-paste. It’s the thing that replaces the spreadsheet-and-email way your team works now: the shared workbook three people are afraid to touch, the report someone rebuilds by hand every Monday, the data retyped from one system into another. Here’s what we build, how we build it, and what it costs.

What we build

Most of it falls into a few shapes. A real project usually combines them — a dashboard your team logs into, fed by automation that pulls from the tools you already pay for.

Admin & ops dashboards Flagship

The single screen your team runs the day from — orders, jobs, customers, inventory, money — instead of five tabs and a spreadsheet. Built around your real workflow, with the numbers that matter live instead of rebuilt by hand. This is where most of our business-software work starts.

Workflow automation Flagship

The multi-step processes your team does by hand — move this into that, notify so-and-so, flag the exceptions — running on their own. We built a reconciliation platform that replaced hours of manual spreadsheet work (see the portfolio): it pulls income from many sources and matches it automatically, so nobody reconciles by eye anymore.

Internal tools, CRMs & portals

The custom CRM, the client portal, the internal tool that does exactly what your business does — not what an off-the-shelf product assumed. When one of these grows into a full product, it becomes a web or mobile app.

Third-party integrations

Connect the tools you already run — accounting, payments, CRM, scheduling, email — so they pass data to each other instead of waiting on someone to retype it. The plumbing between products that don’t talk on their own.

Reporting & data views

The report someone exports, pivots, and emails every week, turned into a live view that’s always current. The same numbers your team trusts, without the Monday-morning ritual of rebuilding them by hand.

Spreadsheet replacements

The shared workbook that became the system of record — and the bottleneck. We move it into real software with permissions, validation, and an audit trail, so it stops breaking when two people edit at once.

How we build it

The point isn’t a fancier tool — it’s software shaped to how your team already works, so it gets used instead of abandoned.

Built around your actual workflow

We start by watching the work — the steps, the exceptions, the workarounds — and build to that, not to a generic template. Software that matches how people already work is software they’ll actually open.

Integrates with what you have

It sits on top of the systems you already pay for and the data behind them — see backend & infrastructure for the APIs and data layer these tools run on — instead of forcing a rip-and-replace.

Rule-based now, AI-driven later

We start with plain, predictable automation — clear rules you can trust and audit. When a step genuinely needs judgment, that’s the tier where AI comes in (the small-business version is here). We don’t reach for it before it earns its place.

Yours to keep

You own the code, the accounts, and the data. We can keep maintaining it or hand it cleanly to your own team — no lock-in, no hostage situations.

What it costs

Honest ranges, not “it depends.” The number tracks scope — how many screens and steps, how much custom logic, how many systems have to talk to each other.

We’ll always point you at the smallest version that actually fixes the bottleneck first. Automating the one task that eats your week beats a sprawling system you’ll never fully roll out — even when the smaller job means a smaller invoice for us.

How we’d start

We’re a New York shop that builds production software for a living. We don’t open with a feature list — we start from the task that’s quietly eating your team’s time: the report rebuilt by hand, the data retyped between systems, the spreadsheet everyone’s afraid to break. Tell us where the copy-paste lives, and we’ll come back with a straight answer on what to automate, what it takes, and what it costs.

Frequently asked questions

We run on spreadsheets — is it really worth replacing them?

If a spreadsheet is the system three people are afraid to touch, or it breaks when two people edit at once, it’s costing you more than it looks. Real software adds permissions, validation, and an audit trail. We’ll tell you honestly when a spreadsheet is still fine and when it’s become a liability worth replacing.

Can you connect the tools we already use?

Usually, yes. Most business software — accounting, CRM, payments, scheduling, email — exposes an API we can wire into, so data passes between them automatically instead of someone retyping it. If a tool has no clean way in, we’ll tell you that up front rather than building something brittle on top of it.

What’s the difference between automation and AI?

Automation follows fixed rules: when this happens, do that — predictable and auditable. AI is for the steps that need judgment, like reading a messy document or deciding which bucket something belongs in. We start with rule-based automation because it’s cheaper and more reliable, and add AI only where a rule can’t cover the work.

Will this work with our specific CRM or accounting system?

Most likely. We’ve integrated with the common ones and plenty of niche ones, and the first thing we do is check what your particular tools allow before promising anything. If yours is locked down or ancient, we’ll say so and give you the realistic options instead of overselling.

Who maintains it after launch?

Whoever you want. You own the code and the accounts, so you’re never locked to us. We can keep it running on a retainer, train your team to take it over, or hand it off cleanly — your call, not a trap.
