A breastfeeding companion that takes the mental math off a new parent’s plate — tracking every ounce of stored milk, what’s fresh, what’s about to expire, and whether there’s enough for tomorrow. Designed and built by Lenox Systems as a cross-platform mobile app (shown here anonymized).
The problem
Breastfeeding runs a constant, invisible spreadsheet in a parent’s head: how much milk is stored, which bag expires first, how much is needed for a day away, whether to pump now or later. It’s mental load piled on top of exhaustion — and getting the math wrong means either wasted milk or coming up short at the worst possible moment.
What we built
A warm, fast mobile app that runs the milk math for you. Log a pump or a feed in a couple of taps; the app keeps a running inventory, splits it across fridge and freezer, watches expiry dates, tells you what to use first, and works out whether you’re covered for time away — with guidance and a tone that supports rather than nags.
Real-time inventory across fridge and freezer, with conversion coverage and a clear “use this first.”
Tracks freshness and surfaces what’s about to expire, so no hard-won ounce gets wasted.
Add, move, or use a session in seconds — designed for one-handed use at 3 a.m.
Works out whether stored supply covers a shift, a trip, or hours out of the house.
AAP-backed, practical how-to content, right where the decisions get made.
Soft, encouraging design in both light and dark — a tool that reassures instead of adding pressure.
The stack
One TypeScript codebase shipping to both app stores, with a managed backend for sync and accounts.
The result
A breastfeeding tool that feels less like software and more like a calm hand on the shoulder — accurate milk math, zero spreadsheets, always in your pocket. One less thing for a new parent to hold in their head.
